Dear sisters and brothers, followers of Radić,
How the time has flown!
Back home, the presidential campaign is in full swing. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović seems to be in the lead, with the HDZ behind her. HSS is among those backing Milanović.
Of course, every voter is free to vote as they choose.
Kolinda has promised to bring cakes to Milan Bandić in prison if need be.
Populist remarks like that only cheapen the presidential race.
Most HSS members will vote for Škoro. We’ll see.
Here in Canada there is little news: annual meetings, New Year’s Eve parties and the traditional winter pig slaughter. Fresh sausages and new wine, and the fun never ends.
Membership in the branches is steady, apart from the natural losses that come with age, illness and a growing number of deaths. I can’t help mentioning the Radić spirit and enthusiasm that is still alive among our members, since we have been on the scene in Canada longer than anyone. That gives us every right to be proud and glad that things are as they are.
For the coming Christmas and New Year, Marija and I wish you the great joy of the Christmas light and every blessing.
